Reverend Anthony Giang Nguyen, a resident of Lowell and a parochial vicar at St. Patrick Church, Lowell, died peacefully September 21 at the Kindred Hospital in Waltham surrounded by family and members of his church community.
He arrived at St. Patrick Church in Lowell in 1986 and has been working very closely with the Vietnamese and Cambodian communities in Lowell, Chelsea, Lawrence and Haverhill. Rev. Anthony was also associated with St. Rose of Lima Parish in Chelsea for many years.

He is survived by two brothers, Trieu P. Nguyen and his wife, Tuyet, of California and Van P. Nguyen and his wife of Vietnam; a sister, Phong T. C. Eileen (Gates) Camillieri died peacefully on September 18. She was 91 years old.
Born in Nova Scotia, she arrived in Chelsea at the age of six and made her home here for 85 years. An exceptional woman of great faith whose life centered on her family and friends, she was always involved in the activities of the churches to which she belonged, Chelsea’s First Baptist and Horace Memorial Baptist and Malden’s Maplewood Baptist. She had also served as president of the Chelsea Woman’s Club, as Worthy Matron of Ruth Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and had been active in the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary.
She was the cherished wife of the late Frank Camillieri; loving mother of Frank R. Camillieri, Elaine T. Burns, and the late Maria E. Cummings. She also leaves her beloved daughter-in-law Kathleen, son-in-law, James, grandson, Matthew Camillieri and his wife, Wendy, granddaughter, Jennifer Ferguson and her husband, James, granddaughter Sarah St. Jean and her husband, Jason, and adored great-grandchildren Madeleine, Grace and Sofia Camillieri, Elizabeth, Adam and Nathaniel St. Jean, Rowan and Lorna Ferguson. She will be greatly missed by her brothers, Charles Gates of Florida and Roy Gates of California as well as by her nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary Benjamin died on September 20 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. She was 90 years old.
Mrs. Benjamin was born in Lithuania and lived most of her life in the West End. She was a homemaker who kept active by dancing, swimming, walking and biking. She was also a nanny and a part-time model and was chosen as one of the 350 Jubilee Bostonians by Mayor Kevin H. White. She volunteered with U.S. veterans and received recognition for her volunteerism by the National Jewish Welfare Board.
She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Benjamin and the devoted mother of Eileen Benjamin.

Frederick “Freddie” Yutkins Jr. an Early Childhood teacher, died September 19 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after battling Pancreatic Cancer for the past 10 months. He was 40 years old.
Born at the Grover Manor Hospital in Revere, he was raised in Chelsea. He attended St. Stanislaus Parochial School and graduated form the Northeast Metro Technical School in Wakefield. He continued his education at Salem State College where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He was employed at South Shore Day Care Services in Quincy as a kindergarten teacher. Prior to his illness, he was pursuing his Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education at Quincy College.
He was the loving son of Frederick J. and Gladys J. (Pistone) Yutkins of Chelsea; beloved life-partner of eight years to Kevin Egan of Dorchester; dear brother of Joseph Yutkins and his wife, Claudette, of Topsfield; cherished uncle of Joseph Yutkins Jr. and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and extended family members.
