I attended the debate at Chelsea City Hall and found Ms. Simmons to be the most knowledgeable, most experienced and most compassionate candidate of the bunch. With two decades of public service under her belt, she has done the work, build coalitions and strong alliances across political divisions, and brought steady leadership to the city of Cambridge. I hope Chelsea voters will join me and many others in supporting this strong woman leader who is principled, smart and has an indomitable spirit.

I thought that Denise Simmons was the best at the forum. She is the only one with a record of delivering to constituents. I'm not sure this is the time for talkers – we need action. I'm voting for Simmons on April 13th.

I was at the debate the other night, and I was quite impressed with Cambridge City Councilor Denise Simmons. She did more than just speak in platitudes – she was able to rattle off the work she's done around housing, job development, working with the less fortunate, and the environment. One of the other candidates lamented the fact that the State House is currently the place where good ideas go to die, but I suspect that if Simmons gets the nod, she'll light a fire under her new colleagues.
