Peter A. Zaksheski Re-elected to the Board of Directors of the MFDA

Peter A. Zaksheski of the Anthony Memorial / Frank A. Welsh and Sons Funeral Homes in Chelsea was recently re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association.  Installation Ceremonies were held at the organization’s annual banquet, which took place in Brewster, Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association represents over 500 funeral homes in the state and is the largest organization of funeral service practitioners in the Commonwealth.  MFDA is a federated state affiliate of the National Funeral Directors Association based in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Mr. Zaksheski has been a licensed funeral director in Chelsea for over 30 years and continues as the managing funeral director for two of Chelsea’s oldest continuously family owned and operated funeral homes.  In the past, Mr. Zaksheski served as the chairman of the Chelsea Planning Board, was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, Director of the Carmel Credit Union, and was elected an unprecedented 3 terms as president of the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce.
