About Deceit

We do not know what devious things or actual crimes committed can be attributed to Chelsea’s Gary Martel who has been charged with fraud and is now being investigated by several agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He has allegedly bilked investors of their money and the total, according to the SEC is $1.6 million.

We do know this – throughout his time living in Chelsea, and it has been a while, he has been involved and has appeared to be a very decent man, caring, softly spoken and he’s kept up his properties.

What appears to have unraveled is his business life – and he will face the law for that.

We regret the mess he’s in. By all appearances, he was a model citizen.

Obviously, a book cannot be judged by its cover.

You regret the mess he’s in?  Perhaps a little compassion for those retirees who lost all or parts of their life savings might be a more appropriate response.  Do you also weep for Bernie Madoff?
