William Burke

Of Chelsea

William J. Burke of Chelsea died on November 17.

A US Navy veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of the late Rita A. (Watson) Burke; devoted father of Michael Burke of Medford, Pattie Lepore and her late husband, Christopher, Karen Burke and Maureen Burke, all of Chelsea; dear brother of Kathleen Desmond of Washington and the late Mary, Albert and Joseph “Buddy” Burke; adored grandfather of Michael, Kevin, Craig and Katharyn Burke and cherished great grandfather of Aaron and Brendan Burke.

His Funeral will be held from the Cardinal Cushing Pavilion, Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Ave. Chelsea on Wednesday, November 21 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael the Archangel Chapel at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Anthony Memorial Funeral Home 157 Washington Ave., Chelsea on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Jeanette ‘Betty’ Murphy

Of Chelsea

Jeanette E. “Betty” (Lowe) Murphy of Chelsea died on November 15.

The former wife of Walter J. Murphy, she was the loving mother of Bruce J. Murphy and his wife, Lisa and Brian D. Murphy and his wife, Marybeth. She is survived by seven loving grandchildren: Lindsay, Ashley, Colton, Savanna, Michael, Meagan and Elizabeth.
