On April 16, the Interact Club of Chelsea High School participated at Student Government Day at City Hall. City Manager Jay Ash explained city government to the students, who then spent about 90 minutes learning about specific departments at City Hall and the School Department. The students then had a lunch sponsored by the Rotary Club at the Wyndham Hotel. City councillors Matt Frank, Calvin Brown, Leo Robinson, Brian Hatleberg, Paula Barton and Giovanni Recupero were there, along with School Committee members Shawn O’Regan, Rosemarie Carlisle, and Carlos Rodriguez. School Superintendent Mary Bourque was also there.
