Governor’s Councillor Backs Calvin Brown for State Democratic Committeeman

On March 1, 2016, “Super Tuesday,” Chelsea voters of the Democratic Party will go to the polls to nominate a candidate for the U.S. Presidency and elect two State Committee members (one male and one female).

I am respectfully requesting that the voters consider Calvin T. Brown for Re-election to the Democratic State Committee Man for the Middlesex & Suffolk Senate District.

I’m pleased to support Calvin Brown for Re-election to the Democratic State Committee.  Calvin Brown is a proven hard working progressive Democrat and he is familiar with the needs of Everett.  He has been an active part of community as a laid leader at Zion Church Ministries on Broadway.  He is a leader in our community and has been a dedicated public servant for many years.

Calvin has also made a huge contribution to our neighboring city of Chelsea as a former City Councillor Member and the past Chairman of Ward 2 Democratic Committee. He has served us well and he deserves another term to continue to represent us as our State Committee Man.

Calvin is one of the most committed and hardest working people that I know in politics today.  His passion, energy, and commitment to our Party is palpalble.  He has built great camaraderie with other State Committee members from across the Commonwealth over his last three terms.  His experiences have prepared him to continue to work with local activists, clergy, and other organizations to ensure that our Party communicates and empowers organizers. It is critical that the Massachusetts Democratic Party continues to listen to citizens and builds relations with new and old voters as we look towards the fall election and beyond.

For this and many other experiences with Calvin, I know he will continue to bring both dedication and leadership experience to the Democratic State Party. With “Super Tuesday” less than a week away, I hope you will join me in voting for Calvin on Tuesday, March 1.

 Terrance W. Kennedy

Governor’s Councillor
