DEPUTY EAVES RETIRES, NEW PROMOTIONS AT CFD

Deputy Chief Paul Eaves ended a long career in the Chelsea Fire Department on Jan. 3. Deputy Eaves was the son of the late Firefighter Thomas Eaves, so he was a legacy.

His retirement cleared the way for three promotions within the department, according to Chief Len Albanese. The promotions came on Tuesday this week and included:  Ed McGarry as Deputy Chief, Phil Rogers to Captain and Carter Glass to Lieutenant. They were sworn in at the City Managers office on Tuesday, but will be officially sworn in at the City Council on Feb. 26.

NO FOUL PLAY WITH BODY FOUND IN CREEK
