Police Briefs 07-19-2018

ROBBED WITH GUN 

On July 14, at 2:31 a.m., while on patrol on Shurtleff Street, a CPD officer observed a male party running up Congress Avenue waving him down. The victim advised the officer that he was just robbed of $5 by two males, and one of them pointed a gun at him. A description was put out of the assailants. They were apprehended by other officers. No firearm was recovered.

Alexis Salerno, 30, of Everett, was charged with armed robbery.

Anthony Benson, 27, of East Boston, was charged with armed robbery.

 

ARMED ROBBERY, PELLET GUN

On July 8, at 7:36 p.m., officers responded to the area of 93 Chester Ave. for a report of a fight in the street. Officers spoke to a victim who stated two men with a firearm attacked him and took his money. Officers observed the two males and placed them into custody after a struggle. The gun was, in fact, a black replica pellet gun found by officers nearby.

Franklin Ascencio Nolasco, 18, of 179 Franklin Ave., was charged with armed robbery, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

Marlon Daron-Ramos, 21, of 85 Chester Ave., was charged with armed robbery, assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.

 

FIREWORKS MARAUDERS

On July 5, at 1:05 a.m., officers responded to neighborhood complaints about fireworks being set off in the area of 59 Maverick St. Officers began to disperse the crowd as several of the persons involved started swearing and threatening police. The crowd also refused to leave the area. The officers called for additional units; two of the individuals were arrested for being disorderly and refusing to leave the area. One of the parties was charged with being in possession of a knife.

Edgar Zelaya, 24, of 8 Fitz Terr., was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of alcohol, and violating the knife ordinance.

Roberto Garcia, 22, of 135 Washington St., was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

 

SEVERE INJURIES IN ROBBERY

On July 5, at 4:11 p.m., officers responded to Creekside Commons Park for a report of an assault. The victim received severe injuries to his face and was transported to the hospital. A witness came forward and described individuals, including a female who she observed beat and rob the victim. The woman was taken into custody a short time later.

Matthew Graves, 26, of 4 Parkway Ct., was charged with unarmed robbery and assault and battery with serious bodily injury.

 

WHO DAT IN MY CAR?

On July 6, at 6:36 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving erratically and failing to stop at several stop signs. The operator was known to the officers and believed not to have a license. The suspect fled on foot and was apprehended. The police contacted the owner of the vehicle who stated he gave the car to a friend to bring to an auto body shop and did not know the person the police apprehended. The subject was charged with not being authorized to use the vehicle.

Tito Ebanks-Lopez, 29, of 61 Exeter St., was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, resisting arrest, failing to stop for police, reckless operation, motor vehicle light violation, stop sign violation and breaking and entering a vehicle for misdemeanor.

 

UNARMED ROBBERY

On July 2, at 9:19 a.m., officers – while in the Bellingham Square area – were approached by a male party who stated was robbed on June 29 and the person who stole from him was in a store in the area. The officers approached the male subject who was positively identified by the victim and placed under arrest.

Michael Perez, 36, of East Boston, was charged with unarmed robbery.

Sammy Hernandez, 19, 78 Washington Ave., Chelsea, was arrested on a warrant.

Cesar Lopez, 30, 271 Parish St., East Boston, was arrested for stop sign violation, operating motor vehicle unlicensed, operating under the influence of liquor and one way violation.

Michael Perez, 36, 300 Merdiain St., East Boston, was arrested for unarmed robbery.

Thursday, 7/5

Edgar Zelaya, 24, 8 Fitz Terr., Chelsea, waas arrested for disorderliy conduct, possessing alcoholic beverage and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Roberto Garcia, 22, 135 Washington Ave., Chelsea, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Nain Montiel, 49, Address Unknown, Chelsea, was arrested for possessing alcoholic beverage.

Jose Vasquez, 51, 115 Washington Ave., Chelsea, was arrested for possessing alcoholic beverage.

Michael Herlihy, 36, 39 Kingston ST\t., Boston, was arrested for breaking and entering daytime.

Matthew Graves, 26, 4 Parkway Ct., Chelsea, was arrested for assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and unarmed robbery.

Friday, 7/6

Tito Ebanks-Lopez, 29, 61 Exeter St., Chelsea, was arrested for operating motor vehicle with suspended license, resisting arrest, failing to stop for police, motor vehicle lights violation, stop sign violation, breaking and entering vehicle/boat for misdemeanor.

Sunday, 7/8

Franklin Ascencio Nolasco, 18, 179 Franklin Ave., Chelsea, was arrested for armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon (2 counts), resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer (2 counts).

Marlon Daron-Ramos, 21, 85 Chester Ave., Chelsea, was arrested for armed robbery, assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon.

Monday, 7/9

David Hawkesworth, 30, 137 Shurtleff St., Chelsea, was arrested on a warrant.

Eric Wimes, 21, 66 Heard St., Chelsea, was arrested on a warrant.

Guillermo Molina, 64, 77 Washington Ave., Chelsea, was arrested for possessing alcoholic beverage.

Medardo Mejia-Roche, 40, 168 Chestnut St., Chelsea, was arrested for failure to stop/yield, operating under the influence of liquor.

Juan Mejia, 29, 102 Grove St., Chelsea, was arrested for shoplifting and furnishing false name.

Mitchell Mills, 25, 158 Third St., Chelsea, was arrested for assault and battery.
